We have recieved this advice from Parks.
Analysis on the 4th March from samples taken the previous day continue to indicate the waterway remains above trigger levels acceptable for use of the waterway.
The National Water Sports Centre has therefore now been CLOSED indefinitely to prevent all contact with the water whilst BGA is present.
This means that the earliest possible notification we could recieve that the venue could be used would come on Wed 19 March. This would be insufficient notice for teams to make travel and accomodation arrangements to attend the event and too late a confirmation for DBV to set up the regatta.
We are proceeding with Edgewater Lake as a venue and making the best we can of the limits of the venue and the circumstances we are in.
