Cost - $295 (includes catering for both days)
* Please note the course prerequisites:
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate and CPR
- Current Child Protection Clearance - Working with Children/ Blue card. (See http://www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au/home/
applications/apply+for+a+check/apply+in+victoria) - Current Certificate showing completion of the ASC Community Coaching General Principles online course. (See https://www.ausport.gov.au/participating/coachofficial/

Public transport is advised to travel to Docklands as there is very limited parking. If you drive, day rate parking is available at Harbour Town car parks.
Please ensure you bring adequate clothing for practical on-water session and a change of warm cloths.

10:45 - 11:00 - Refreshment break & stretch
11:00 - 1:00pm Prepare to Coach
Organisation & communication
Overview of a simple season plan
Introduction to Energy systems used in dragon boating
Managing behaviour
Insurance for Coaches
1:00 – 1:30pm Lunch break
1:30 – 4:30pm - Conduct Coaching
Play AusDBF Technique video * Mandatory Viewing
Warm up & cool down as part of session plan
Boat plan & balance
Create session plan
Group coaching session on water (critiqued & filmed by presenter)

Day 2
9:00 - 2:30pm - Conduct Coaching
Video review of Day 1 water session
Warm up and stretch down session (participants to lead the group with examples of their exercises)
12:00 - 12:30 Lunch break
Group coaching session on water
Integrate changes and learnings from day 1 water session
2:30 - 3:00pm Refreshment break
3:00 – 3:30pm First Aid fir sport - Injury prevention – Managing Injuries
3:30 – 4:30pm Evaluate coaching
