Round 1 of Series - Battle on the Barwon 2019

This event has passed.
Race Distance: 5.5km
Crews will paddle 1.5km to the first turn and then return past the starting point for a 2nd turn and finish at the starting point. This will provide an extra challenge with the additional turn and allow the spectators to much more of the event.

Standard boat:
1) OPEN
2) MIXED
3) WOMENS
4) CANCER SURVIVOR & SUPPORTERS.
Small boat (champion 10)
5) OPEN
Trophies:
Awarded for first place in each category if more than 3 entries.
Additionally for those clubs that have not previously received one of the Perpetual Tropies (mini wooden paddle) extras are now available to be awarded to those clubs.
Time stickers will be available for 2018 and 2019 for use with the Perpetual Tropies
Novelty Dress the Drummer
Competition- Prize for the best dressed drummer.
Gum Boot Throw:
Just for fun, no teams, prizes for longest toss by a woman and a man.
Notes
- All race distances are approximate at time of printing.
- There are no age divisions.
- Minimum ages are 12 years for paddlers and drummers, 16 years for helms.
- Races are staggered start as in sweeps races and placing's will be on times
- DA Paddlers must have current Dragons Abreast Australia membership.
- Combined teams are welcome – see DBV guidelines for entries.

Event Information
The first heat will take place at 9.30am
BRIEFINGS WILL COMMENCE AT 8.20 and ADMIN will open at the same time.
- Trade stall: sport clothing suitable for watersports.
- DAA stall: assorted goods.
- BBQ: bacon and egg sandwiches and sausages.
- Coffee: tea, coffee, hot chocolate. Regular $4, Large $5. Bring you own cup for a 50c discount.
- Fruit Platter for paddlers.
