This event has passed.

Spring time is here! Now is the perfect time for you to get fit, have fun and to meet awesome bunch of new friends. The CYSM Sea Dragons, a Melbourne-based dragon boating team based at the Docklands, will be holding an open day on Saturday 24 September for you to have a go.

We are a friendly and inclusive team

that values diversity. The club welcomes people from all backgrounds who are interested in learning more about Chinese culture, keeping fit, and teamwork.

So what do I bring and wear to a practice?

It depends on the weather; hot or cold. We recommend dressing in layers so you can take some layers off or put some back on.

You should wear sunscreen, have a hat, and sandals are good for footwear.

- Always bring a water bottle to each practice. There are taps for water refill. Hydration is very important on cool or warm days.

- Ensure that you bring a towel and dry clothes to change into after training as you will inevitably get wet.

- The boat hub has hot showers for use afterwards.

- The club will provide you with a life jacket (also known as Personal Floatation Devices or PFDs) and paddle.

- You are welcome to bring your own PFD and dragon boat paddle if you have them.

We offer three free Come and Try sessions to all first timers so if you are unable to make it on this occasion, be sure to get in touch with us and give it a go on another Saturday session. Make the most of this opportunity and experience dragon boating for yourself.

Please click on here to RSVP so our team are able to prepare the boats and other equipment for you.
