Dragon Boat Victoria and Bendigo Dragon Boat Teams invite you to compete in this regatta at beautiful Lake Weeroona located on the Midland Highway just north of Central Bendigo.​
Regatta Details
Date: Sunday 19th October 2014
Time: 9.00am to 4:00pm
Venue: Lake Weeroona, (on the Midland Highway), 1.5km north of the CBD
Boats: All boats are Champion 20s boats.
Rules: The events will be run under Australian Dragon Boat Federation Rules of Racing.
Cost: $35 per paddler, Early Bird rate ($17.50 for students/juniors). $45 per paddler thereafter ($22.50 for students/juniors).
Payment: Refer to the DBV Regatta Entries 2013-14 document for payment due dates.
Gazebos: Permitted (weighted without pegs.)
Race Categories
200 metre racing in the morning:
- Open 20s
- Mixed 20’s
- Women 20’s
- Mixed 10s (maximum of two entries per club)
- Dragons Abreast 20’s
- Masters Women 10’s
- Corporate Community Mixed
Notes
- All distances are will be 200 metres
- Dragon Boat Victoria reserves the right to cancel a category if there are insufficient entries.
- Minimum age is 12 years for paddlers / drummers, 16 years for helms on the day of the regatta.
- Paddlers competing in Masters 40 years or older on day of regatta
- Women’s crews – must have a female sweep; the drummer can be any gender.
- Combined teams are welcome but make sure you put the necessary details on the entry form.
- Mixed teams composition: maximum 10 men per 20s boat.

Final crew lists due (3 copies) to admin - 8:00am
Volunteers briefing - 8.00am
Team Captains briefing - 8:15am
Sweeps briefing - 8:30am
First Race - 9:00am
Last Race - TBD based on race draw
Presentations - TBD based on race draw
Note that the schedule is indicative; it may change subject to entries, weather or other factors.
What You Need to Do to Enter!
- Familiarise yourself with the DBV Regatta Entries 2013-14 document below – this contains everything you need to know about how to enter a regatta in Victoria
- Fill out a DBV Team Registration Form and return to DBV at
- events@dragonboatvictoria.com.au by 6th October 2014.
- Make your initial payment at least 4 days prior to the regatta, based on the number of people you expect to compete. As evidence of this payment, please fill out and email a copy of the DBV Regatta Payment Form to treasurer@dbvic.com.au at least 4 days before the regatta.
