What: Mars Petcare - Wet Team

When: Wednesday 22 May 2024 - 9:30am to 11:30am

Where: Community Hub at the Dock (912 Collins St) and Victoria Harbour

Session: One boat on Victoria Harbour

• 9:00 am: Level 3 Sweeps to arrive (Nationally Accredited)
• 9:20 am: Participants arrive and meet and greet from DBV
• 9:30 am: Briefing commences (safety briefing, first aid on-site, PFDs on, advise where change room/shower/toilet facilities are)
• 9:45 am: Briefing concludes; boats in the water
• 10:00 am: On-water session, technique/training, paddling around Victoria Harbour
• 10:45 am: Racing of boats/teams, min three 200m races
• 11:00 am: Dragon Boat tug-of-war
• 11:15 am: Session concludes - boats out of the water
• 11:30 am: De-brief/presentations

What equipment is provided for paddlers

Paddle and an Australian Standard PFD.

What to bring and wear if participating

Comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear (e.g. sneakers)

Change of clothes (in case session clothes get wet)

Drink bottle (although 600m bottles are provided for all participants)

Showers, change rooms and toilets

Available before, during and after the session at the Community Boating Hub
