Battle on the Barwon Regatta

This event has passed.
Race Distance: 5.5km
Slightly different course to previous events. Crews will paddle 1.5km to the first turn and then return past the starting point for a 2nd turn and finish at the starting point. This will provide an extra challenge with the additional turn and allow the spectators to much more of the event.

Notes
- All race distances are approximate at time of printing.
- There are no age divisions.
- Minimum ages are 12 years for paddlers and drummers, 16 years for helms.
- Races are staggered start as in sweeps races and placing's will be on times
- DA Paddlers must have current Dragons Abreast Australia membership.
- Combined teams are welcome – see DBV guidelines for entries.
All entries are by clubs via revolutioniseSPORT regatta portal
Event Information
The first heat will take place at 9.20am
BRIEFINGS WILL COMMENCE AT 8.20 and ADMIN will open at the same time.
Awards will be provided to the winning crews from each category, the previous perpetual trophies will not be continued.
The ERG competition will run again, for teams of 6, with a minimum of 3 women per team. (note this is a 'rowing' machine comp)
Please register your ERG team via the regatta portal- alteration to ERG team participants will be allowed on the day, your final team list can be submitted to ADMIN.
There will be a prize to the team with the best novelty hats .
Facilities include hot showers, toilets, All day BBQ, coffee van, home baked goodies and music.
DBV & The Geelong Dragon Boat Club look forward to seeing you paddling on the Barwon River on the 5th August.
