The purpose is to paddle in Melbourne and raise awareness and funds for mental health, with all proceeds going to the Black Dog Institute and Headspace.

You can register and pay funds here https://chuffed.org/project/dragon-boat-paddlathon where opting for the Melbourne Yarra River Run. There is an option to register as a full crew or if coming outside of metro, individuals can speak to metro clubs to join forces and pay an individual fee. The cost is $400 per boat or approx $20 per paddlers
