The Rapids Dragon Boat Club is a U18 dragon boat team dedicated to increasing junior participation in the sport and providing young athletes with the information they need to pursue their dragon boating goals. We aim to provide an avenue dedicated to developing the paddling knowledge and ability of current and future junior paddlers.

At this time the Rapids train together in Melbourne once or twice a month on weekends, and compete in various regattas during the season. Dragon Boat Victoria has given approval for all U24 paddlers to have dual membership in both a junior’s club, like the Rapids, and a metro or regional club of their choice. This gives junior paddlers the opportunity to paddle with other athletes their own age, as well challenge themselves and train more frequently by participating in adult teams.
