The DA Gippsland Waratahs is a registered Dragons Abreast Team, which encourages involvement and support of people who have experienced breast cancer. We are also a club which encourages and fosters the sport of dragon boat paddling for everyone. Members, both men and women, between the ages of twelve and ninety are welcome. Age and physical fitness are no barriers to participating in our club. We encourage all people to feel included in the Club. Some members are keen to compete, and train hard to paddle at various regattas, both in Victoria, interstate and overseas. Others want to enjoy the feeling of belonging to a team and to keep fit in a supportive and fun environment. Currently, we paddle Sunday mornings in Bairnsdale at Howitt Park, from 9.30am. During daylight saving midweek paddling is in Bairnsdale, Wednesday from approximately 5.30pm. We provide equipment, which includes the boats, paddles and life jackets, and you are welcome to “Come and Try” a 1 month free trial, before becoming a member. The Office Bearers and Committee are as follows: President: Leonie Taylor 0418 592 846 Head Coach: Denise Lamble 0429 122 407
